Users of Macintosh OS 10.13 (High Sierra) see unexpected behavior when adding sequences
Date: 6/14/2018
Version Affected: All
Version Fixed: NA
Issue: A window-drawing error in Macintosh OS 10.13.1 (High Sierra) has been observed on machines both with and without Retina displays. This error can cause unexpected behavior in some of Lasergene’s “add sequences” windows.
The issue has been observed to occur after using the Sequence > Add command in SeqMan Pro. This issue was also observed in the now-obsolete applications MegAlign and PrimerSelect when using the File > Enter Sequences command. After using one of these commands, the “add sequences” dialog can become partially obscured by a black box; or the window may display oddly, or have areas of overlapping text.
Resolution: The issue does not occur in Macintosh OS 10.12, but several early versions of OS 10.13 are affected. Apple fixed the window-drawing error with the release of Macintosh OS 10.13.4. If you have experienced this issue, please update your Macintosh operating system to OS 10.13.4 or later.
