Users of Macintosh OS 10.12 (Sierra) cannot access installed Lasergene help
Date: 10/24/2018
Version Affected: All
Version Fixed: N/A
Issue: Macintosh users running certain versions of OS 10.12 (Sierra) may receive errors when attempting to access the help installed with their Lasergene applications. Errors may include “The selected topic is currently unavailable” and/or notifications about JavaScript being disabled, or needing to be enabled. The latter messages occur even on machines with properly functioning JavaScript installations. In addition, the Lasergene application’s help window opens, but is blank.
We have ascertained that the Lasergene application help opens correctly for macOS 10.11 and 10.13, and believe this issue is confined to 10.12.
Resolution: For Macintosh users running macOS 10.12, we suggest either of the following workarounds:
- View the help online by going to our Training page and clicking the Help link for the application of interest.
- Upgrade your Macintosh machine to macOS 10.13 or later.
